Honor Roll: Town of Hyde Park (New York) War Memorials

The Town of Hyde Park, New York, is in Dutchess County, just north of the county seat of Poughkeepsie. It is most famous for being the hometown of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the location of his summer residence, Springwood.

The town hall is located at 4383 Albany Post Road and on its grounds is a small park with several honor roll memorials.

  1. I have a question. I have family members that have fought in wars from as far back (that I am aware of thus far) in the Civil War, WWI and WWII that are from the Hyde Park area and are not included here. Just wondering what/who was used as the source to compile this information and why other people had been left out.

    1. You would need to contact the Town of Hyde Park and ask them your question. I just photograph, transcribe the names, and post the information on the Internet so that it is available for indexing by search engines like Google.
